Remote Employee Check-in
About
EchoAlert is a patent pending mobile check-in and alert system which has been built to create an extra level of security for remote employees while in the field. The system leverages mobile phone messaging technology to prompt regular check-ins by remote employees. These messages themselves would appear unimportant to any accidental observer. If the employee should fail to respond with a simple coded message, their support team can be automatically and immediately alerted to potential danger.
How It Works:

- The employee is prompted by a text message to a mobile phone to check in with the
system at regular intervals (hourly, daily etc.).
- The employee checks in using a simple text message with a code word or number.
- The system validates the response and logs all responses.
- The monitoring party (e.g. support team) can choose to be notified of every
response, or only in the event of failure to check-in. The system may also be
set to notify monitors if the message does not reach the phone, or to allow the
target to miss some extra check-ins.
- If the employee responds late or misses a response the system can be set to try
again or to immediately alert monitors of potential danger by voice call, text message
or email.
- In Alert Mode the system can provide location information from a third party service provider, and may optionally increase frequency of check-in prompts to the employee, alerting monitors if there is any response.
This system increases safety by creating an alert to team members in situations such as an employee's compromised security, personal injury or loss of consciousness. All of these dangerous situations would otherwise go undetected by the employee's support team, and therefore leave the employee vulnerable.
